R.I.P "Ed McMahon"

Ed McMahon died Tuesday June 23rd at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in California. Ed was 86 years old, and is best known for in my opinion being Johnny Carson's co host. Also he is greatly known for Hosting the popular syndicated talent show "Star Search" which aired from 1983 to 1995. He was an amazing talent for TV, and will be sorely lost.

Following in the footsteps of FOX's "Family Guy" due to DVD sales This show is set to return in 2010. That might seem along time for some of us, but a chance to get more people to catch up with the show, and movies I told everyone about before. No word if it will be on FOX, but I assume it will be they suck up money from every source, and don't apologize for making mistakes. 20th Century FOX & Comedy Central are not only bringing it back, but they want double the amount of episodes per season. So fans will be happy to know you will get 26 episodes per season. As more info comes my way I will post immediately.

TLC's "John & Kate Plus 8" Hubbub

I only stared watching the show because of my girlfriend like most men out their. The new season is getting the best ratings ever. After watching the show, and with all that is going on only two things can happen. The show will end to protect their family emotionally, or it will continue with a divorce. Being in front of a camera when you are just starting your family is a big stress even bigger when the show is so dam popular. I don't blame John for wanting to get away, and hang out with friends. Frankly I think there is nothing to the stories put out there to get fools to buy magazines. Think about it most people don't buy magazines anymore they have the Internet for that which isn't much better. Its really a shame for the kids, but at least their schooling will be paid for from the show. Listen If your on TV you will have people that want a story that they will spin anything from a picture or video. It's a shame when it happens to a family though. We don't need to pry into their life's like that and think that what we see, and hear from a 3rd-4th-5th party is the truth. The new season started off sad for good reason. The first episode was put together fast to somewhat answer what is out their now in the so called news. Its one thing running a scripted show, but a reality show with kids its really a God Dam Shame all this is going on. Remember this show started about raising 8 kids, and how their home life is not who they hang around with.

History Channel's "Ice Road Truckers" Returns

Please don't forget Season 3 Premiers tonight on the History channel. The new season is filmed in Alaska, and features 2 returning drivers (Hugh & Alex) as well as 6 new drivers. In Prudhoe Bay, a network of ice roads in the tundra crisscross river systems & open ocean to connect America’s booming North Slope oil fields to dry land. Every winter truckers have less than three months to shuttle critical supplies over the ice. There’s only one way to get to this remote location: 400 miles of ice-covered, mountainous terrain known as The Dalton Highway. This is a great show about men who do what most want just to make extra money. If you haven't seen the show now is the time to go out, and buy the DVDs. Dont forget 9pm/8C.

History Channel's "Expedition Africa" Review

Who hasn't heard the phrase "Dr. Livingston I presume". Starting tomorrow on the History Channel a new show starts adding to the history of adventures. Four explores set out to follow the footsteps of a journalist Henry Morton Stanley who set out to follow Livingston's journey through Africa trying to see what happened to him. Livingston disappeared in the 19Th century. He dedicated his life to stop slavery. Four brave people now set out to go on a long journey through places most people don't travel or would dare hike in. The navigator is Pasquale Scaturro, The wildlife expert is Mireya Mayor (she's cute), The survuvalist is Benedict Allen, & how could you not retrace the steps without another journalist who is Kevin Sites. All four team members will face many many many things in the Jungle,Swamps, Mountains, and Barren deserts. Its always nice to see different places, and how people live/cope with where they spend their lives. Being put in a place you have knowledge about, and are aware of the dangers doesn't mean your safe 100% for an expedition. This show keeps you on the edge. Just think how primitive survival tools were back when Livingston/Stanley went on their expeditions. Now also know that not much has changed. You can bring the best of the best with you People/Tools, but that doesn't help you from mother nature, and animals/Bugs. This is definitely worth your time to watch that only 2 other people have done. It is surreal the views, & experiences they will live through. All four team members will travel nearly 1,000 miles in 30 days. It will be amazing to see what will happen. Please watch the premier on Sunday the 31st at 10pm/9 Central.

ABC's "Wipeout" returns

This show has everything you want in a game show. Meaning you can care less who wins because it's so dam funny watching these people wipeout. The second season aired yesterday, but you can watch the full episode at ABC.com. I have to ask this though they must have the most weirdest try out auditions in the world. It seems these people are a breed of their own. All and all it makes for good TV. I mean who doesn't love the Big ball's jokes.

NBC's "Medium" Moves to CBS

Who would of thought that a hit show would move to the only network that only has like three great shows. Word is "Medium" received a cancellation notice. One day later CBS picked up the show. Question is why doesn't this happen with more shows. Anyways the show will be put in a Great slot right after "Ghost Whisperer". It shocks me that NBC would get rid of a great show when they are Second to CBS in Crap TV programing. At least rumors will be held back and the everyone involved still has a job. My only worry is that it is on CBS. Most shows fail due to bad marketing, and on the other hand some Excel with no promotion. The TV industry will always leave us hanging, but at least we can say another show is saved.

Prison Break "The Final Break" Review

Maybe I should retract my words about how the show ended on FOX. Without giving away anything for those who haven't seen it all I will tell is little detail. Apparently following the dramatic finale, which jumped four years into the future, this special edition fills in the gaps, and tells us what happened to Michael, and Lincoln during those missing years. "The Final Break" continues from the season four series finale, and will be exclusively broadcast on Sky1 in the UK on Wednesday May 27, 2009. Again its always funny how OTHER COUNTRIES get to see our home grown shows first. Only good news is I'm glad there is an explanation to OUR USA finale. If this is a joke of the Spin off series featuring a women's prison knowing FOX they should just give up now before ruining what WAS a great show. Again at least there is more to the crappy ending. Good luck FOX on DVD sales knowing this airs in another country first. But than again the UK does have better shows, but get canceled just as fast as FOX does here. Again on the other hand I'm glad there's more footage to answer questions that will be shown in another country.

Shocking Renewals & New Info

The word is FOX has renewed "Dollhouse" for next fall. We should all find out for sure on Monday. It's a shock now a days that FOX renews anything. Also which shouldn't be a shock is ABC's "Castle" is picked up for another season along with "Better of Ted". Just also a reminder ABC has given the green light for "V". If you don't know what I'm talking about do a search on my blog. Also FOX has renewed "Fringe" for a second season which I think has to do in part with J.J.'s new Movie "Star Trek". Believe it or not a First for FOX they have given a Second Season to a show that hasn't even premiered yet. FOX has renewed so to speak Seth Mcfarlane's " The Cleveland Show". Just so you know the first season will have 22 episodes Hopefully. Don't forget about all the shows coming back to TV, along with new ones. Most important is the NEW "SYFY" (New Name) Channel's "Stargate Universe". Please see below trailer for this Great new show.

End of A Show

I have to say, and ask at the same time what is or was the best ending to a show. Most of us won't remember a show's ending when we were kids. My Favorite show of all time was "Married With Children", and I don't remember how that ended. The same can be said for my second favorite show " Three's Company". Now a days we are used to shows ending before their time, and we are left with a crappy endings that still leaves us hanging on for more. The worst part is we are so pissed off knowing we wont get the answer. The writers kill the original story to cut it short, and end the show. I'm saying all this because of FOX's "Prison Break". As good as it WAS having the title Prison break, and breaking out of jail we all knew the show wouldn't last long. For those of you who haven't seen it I wont ruin it for you, but its sad how writers make the finale so sad, and do things you think are an end when you know it was forced, and not meant to be. At least ABC's "Lost" has a time frame for their ending. Hopefully that will be better.

Kiefer Sutherland Really Jack Bauer

As most of everyone knows by know "Keifer Sutherland" is at it again. We all remember the YouTube videos of him jumping into a Christmas tree drunk. On the other hand if you think about it in FOX's "24" when was jack actually paid for his work? Probably only season 1.Only reason I laugh at his latest escapade is because he thought he was standing up for "Brook Sheilds". Of all people it's not like there's anything to gain from that besides being on FOX's "TMZ". If you don't know what I'm talking about I'll fill you in real quick. Basically he head butted fashion designer "Jack McCollough" at a shindig. Brooke has told friends she was indeed "jostled" by McCollough just before the headbutting, though she says it was "no big deal." Brooke says after McCollough made contact with her she fell, but not all the way to the ground. She doesn't believe it was intentional. If you ask me if Kiefer was drunk or not, defending any person no matter how messed up from pills they look is still a great act on his part. You just got to love the picture of the damage.

ABC's New Show "V" Update

The show was about an alien invasion of Earth by a carnivorous race of reptilians known as The Visitors . ABC's "lost" actress "Elizabeth Mitchell" (Juliet) will have a role in this new series. FOX's Bones & Family Guy Collide

David Boreanaz's character on FOX's "Bones" is about to hallucinate. He is about to see my favorite cartoon character Stweie of FOX's "Family Guy". "This is going to sound odd, but it is a completely believable event given [Booth's condition]," maintains executive producer Stephen Nathan, who declined to reveal the mystery ailment causing his visions. Some of you may not know this, but Rob Dyrdek (MTV's "Rob & Big") has a new show on MTV. The show is called "Rob Dyrdek's Fantasy Factory". If you loved his show before you'll love this one just the same if not more. The clip posted here is Rob Dyrdek of MTV's Fantasy Factory falling from a zip line and narrowly escapes death. DVD of the Week to Buy

You may or may not know this, but since FOX canned "Futurama" the creators have been releasing a series of movies that go strait to DVD. I think I originally posted there would be eight in all. So far the following are already out in stores. "Bender's Big Score", "The Beast with a Billion Backs", and "Bender's Game". This Tuesday Feb 24th the 4th movie in the series comes out called "Into the Wild Green Yonder". If you were a fan of the show or just never even heard of this series this movie is a great buy. What's even better cartoons can get away with so much more in a movie without the constraint of a network behind it.

The Final Few

Well even though it's a new year around this time announcements come out about shows not making the cut (Ratings Wise), and the end of a series. I'm late to announce that ABC Family announced that this is the Final Season of "KyleXY". I knew the show wouldn't last even though I loved watching it. Surprising enough it had the same story as FOX's "John Doe", and lasted longer. Also the final remaining episodes of FOX's "Prison Break" will air later this year. Hopefully the writers will some up the story for us. In my Opinion if they didn't name the show Prison Break it would of lasted longer. Like I said before on a previous post there is the chance of a spin off involving a women's prison. Unfortunately this will be the last season of FX's "Nip/Tuck", and not due to ratings. This show has been amazing to anyone that has followed it. Sometimes I guess you just have to let go of a good thing before it turns bad.

New Review (Still TV Realted)

Normally I don't talk about video games on this site, but there are instances where I believe it fits in. What I'm talking about is "Ready 2 Rumble Revolution" (Wii), which releases on March 17th. The game contains 18 caricatured boxers, all parodies of celebrities from sports, music, and movies. That is were the TV related part comes in. Who wouldn't want to fight being a famous person. Its like celebrity death match came to Wii. Upon first look the graphics look amazing, and thank god the characters don't look like Wii people. What I like about this game is that they say they have artificial intelligence allowing for more strategic fights. This isn't new to the gaming world, but allot of games don't offer that challenge level. Also there are Mini Games (see picture top left ) which I just love when the creators do that. I think this will be a big hit. If anyone is interested there are $10-off preorders available at Wal-Mart, GameStop, and Amazon.

Must Have DVD

People like me that grew up in the 80's, and sat in front of the TV after school will love this DVD. Who can't forget "Mr. Belvedere". Season 1 & 2 will be out on DVD March 17th. This show was apart of many house holds which made us laugh growing up, and will now be on DVD. This DVD contains 29 episodes on 5 Discs along with a Special DVD bonus content which includes Saturday Night Live: Mr. Belvedere Fan club sketch & All new Interviews with the cast. For any TV fan this is a must have for any collection.

Fall TV Reminder

FOX has yet again Tempted fate with Friday night shows. Of course on of all days Friday the 13th "Terminator The Sarah Connor Chronicles" Returns which could mean doom for fox. Let me remind you of Friday nights on FOX. Remember Fastlane, John Doe, Dark Angel. Ya any show on Friday most likely gets killed off. The only thing I'm Hoping for is Joss Wedon's "Dollhouse" to be a hit. As you may or may not know Joss is behind "Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, and my Favorite Firefly. He will bring with him to this new show Eliza Dushku (Buffy,Angel, and my favorite FOX show that got canceled Tru Calling.)

Fall Season is Upon us all

I know It's been awhile since I've posted here. Let me catch up to bring you up to speed. First my new Favorite show is "Demons". Demon's Airs on ITV1 UK, sorry for some of us Americans some shows that are great just don't air here like "HEX". Anyways Fox's new show "Lie to Me" has a good start with an original story like "Bones". I hope the Show Does well. With a Sad new year Note I'm sorry to say this is the last season of "Kyle XY". ABC Family decided to let it go not a shock considering the same type of story was already done on Fox's "John Doe". Ok enough wallowing time for the future. The CW has given the green light on "Vampire Diaries". Vampire Diaries" will be based on Alloy's novels that have been revived since "Twilight" has proven to be so popular with young women, which is CW's target demo. In the novels, the beautiful Elena is known as the ice queen of her high school, but becomes the object of passion for two brothers -- vampire brothers. The elder sibling Damon is charming but sadistic and had fought with his brother over a girl centuries ago. The (relatively) younger Stefan is the angsty, silent but earnest one who actually cares for Elena deeply. Around them swirl ex-boyfriends, vampires with vendettas and perhaps even a psychic."Diaries" would also mark a resurrection of sorts for Kevin Williamson, creator of "Dawson's Creek" and "Scream" film franchise. He's worked with The CW before on the short-lived "Hidden Palms." Williamson has written the pilot script with Julie Plec and will exec produce with her and Alloy's Les Morgenstein and Bob Levy.

Also another of my last years pics is returning. the CW's "The Reaper".The second season of the supernatural drama will return March 3, a couple of weeks sooner than originally announced.

The best news I think is the Green Light from the SCI-FI channel with the go ahead for "Stargate Universe". Universe will have a 2-hour premiere in 2009, and land in a regular time slot next summer. This Stargate Franchise has had such a huge fan base, and following. It was sad to find out about the end of Atlantis, but thats ok. The difference is the new season will be aimed at a younger crowd. We will just have to see how this plays out with exsisting fans, and potentially new ones. It's been so long since I posted I have so much more to talk about, but this is it for now.

DVD of the Week to Buy

This weeks choice is again a hard choice. This week my decision is between "Ice Road Truckers on & off the ice, Futurama beast with a million backs, and Chris Angels's Mind Freak" Best of Season 1 & 2. This weeks choice in my opinion is "Ice Road Truckers". This show is amazing, and still going unlike another show thanks to FOX. Season 2 of Ice Road Truckers is already airing, but you can still pick up season 1, and the new DVD.

FOX's "Fringe" Review

This show needs to be seen by every person on the planet. I say that because I don't want it to join the long list of shows killed off by FOX. Fringe will be a hit for the fall lineup no doubt in my mind. This show is something no network has done I think before. Creating a show about fringe science usually would be a show/movie on the sci-fi network. Let me say now SCI-FI is fox fails BUY THIS SHOW. The action, and story is so well played out in the pilot. Normally pilots can bore you giving you a background about the characters. This show hits you like the first Saw movie. It goes right into it without a back story. Among all the craziness this show offers, and will offer the suttle humor here, and there makes you actually laugh. This show should be a huge hit in my opinion. Considering the network I say they should offer it to someone else. I only diss FOX because of their history. That actually hurts all new shows. Who's going to want to watch a show knowing FOX will kill it if it doesn't meet their standards. That's a huge reason why I blog to get the word out about something. Fringe is set to air Sept. 9th on FOX. If that changes I will be sure to tell you all about it Trust Me.

truTV's "Black Gold" Review

Better late than never for a review for a show. In the past years shows similar to this have come out, and have been a success for the network that airs it. This show will be a hit for truTV because they were smart enough to campaign for it and promote it. Let me tell you they didn't have to do that. If you like Ice Road Truckers you'll love this. Being on an oil rig is serious business. You can die or get hurt really bad in places you wouldn't want to be hurt at. The work the roughnecks do is tough. The driller has a tough job as well. If your rig ain't making money your out. Even the lowest paid employee what they call a worm can make $70,000 a year. That's some serious cash. So if they aren't drilling or roughnecks don't show that's money lost, and a lot of it. Your job on an oil rig is never safe for two reasons. One your not making the owner money so your fired, and two you can get killed or be severely hurt. This show is intense on so many levels. To do this job you have to be a certain breed of man. "Black Gold" airs today on truTV check your local listings for air times.

HBO's "True Blood" Review

I've reviewed shows, and seen shows that never made it to air. I try to do the best that I can on reviewing a show that I see potential in. In my opinion there needs to be a vampire show on the air Every season. True Blood is great at first glance. I've even talked about vampire shows that never made it to air yet. This show is different because vampires are made public. Just like real life they are subject to discrimination. At first you think the main character is a vampire, but you learn to realize that she has another ability which is to read people's minds. The interaction between the general public, and vampires make for a great show to see. The story is worth watching in itself. Soon as I know more I will re post. In my opinion there needs to be more commercials/Hype/more word of mouth about this show so it stays on the air. I've learned you need to be proactive about shows you like to make sure it keeps going "True Blood" should air September 7th on HBO.

DVD of the Week to buy

This weeks choice is hard. I had to make a choice on a show that I like that is coming back for another season. My second choice would be "Jericho" Season 2 if the show wasn't killed by the network. So this weeks choice is Showtime's "Californication" season one. This show is freaking sweet on so many levels. I can't wait for season 2 to start. If you haven't seen season one go out Tuesday, and get caught up with the first season.

Ghost Whisperer Update

According to The Hollywood Reporter, "Jamie Kennedy" will play a graduate psychology student at the local university. His character will form some sort of bond with Jennifer Love Hewitt's character Melinda when the drama returns for it's 4th season this fall. Kennedy's character will be an almost one-for-one replacement for Jay Mohr's Professor Rick Payne. Mohr's character will reportedly appear in several episodes at the start of the season before being smoothly written off. Mohr, meanwhile, will be starring in his own CBS sitcom, the Wednesday comedy "Project Gary." It will be hard to replace Professor Rick Payne in the show with all his humor he brings to the show, but Kennedy is humours enough to play a role on this great show. I definitely look forward to see how everything plays out on this great show.

CBS's Swingtown Review

It's a little late for this review considering it airs tomorrow on CBS, but it's worth posting. At first look nothing is better than a show based in the 70's. You just got to love the hair, and cloths. I wish I would of got a copy of this show to give you a full review. The clips, and trailers I've seen, its Desperate Housewife's meets That 70's Show. The title says it all, and the rest you have to watch to find out. You can't beat a show with sex, and drugs. Its always great to see a show that's different that shows a different aspect of a time period, especially as raunchy as it is. I definitely recommend everyone tune in tomorrow night on CBS 10pm et/pt.

It's sad when you know a star of your canceled show signs on to do another project. When your released from your contract you can do anything. Jericho only hangs by a thread now unless another network buys it. Anyways Sprague Grayden will be seen in the new season of FOX's "24". Just imagine if FOX canceled that show knock on wood. Again anyways According to The Hollywood Reporter, Grayden will play Olivia Taylor, daughter of President Allison Taylor (Cherry Jones) and the nation's first First Husband (Colm Feore). She didn't have a huge role in Jericho, but we all wanted her to hook up with on the show Jake Green (Skeet Ulrich). I have to say I'm proud that shes going from one of my favorite shows to another one of my best favorite shows. Not to put an end to my hopes of Jericho coming back on another network, but I hope the best for all the cast members of Jericho in all future endeavors.

For 06/03/08 the DVD to get is Showtime's "Weeds" Season 3 is also aviable in Blu-ray on the same day. If you haven't seen this show than my suggestion is to buy the previous 2 seasons on DVD along with season three. This show is one of the best on going series on cable.

Jericho's Loyal Fans at it again

I have to say I'm one of those nuts. No pun intended meaning the nut campaign to save the show which got it a semi-second season. The die hard fans have done it again as you can see by the picture. This show was one of the best in my opinion. It's a shame it didn't last a whole second season. The show ended giving fans what they wanted semi closure on all the events that took place. I would like nothing more than another network to pick up this show, but that is a slim chance. I suggest we all create a new network that picks up all canceled shows and brings them back to life. We can call it the AX network since all the shows were axed. Just an idea because its hard to look forward to a show that you know lays in the networks hands. This was all the information I could find on the new show, and I can't comment about how much of it is true. Ice Road Truckers Season 2 Review

Last season we say the Ice Road Truckers at Yellowknife in Canada. This season all the rules have changed. Some of your favorite truckers from season one are back along with new ones. This time the Ice road is the Arctic Ocean. The truckers are hauling equipment, and supplies to gas exploration sites. Temperatures can be as low as 60 below here. The difference on this road is drivers have to drive faster, and carry heaver loads. Last season's favorite Hue Rowland (aka Polar bear) is back, and he hasn't seen this road in 20 years. Driving on any ice road in any condition are treacherous to any driver even experienced. What these truckers do besides the money they can make is such a great endurance. To do what they do with the risk is beyond me as to why they do it, but that makes you want to watch it even more. Yellowknife is nothing compared to this road that they will have to endure. Inuvik is the gateway to the toughest ice road these truckers will see. The Goodbyes are always hard for the family's of these drivers. Its so hard to let your loved one go when you know how dangerous the journey will be. The veterans from Yellowknife are now the rookies on this road. The second season will blow you away more than a white out condition on an ice road. The second season will air on the History Channel on June 8th at 9pm/8c. If you haven't seen this show before go out and buy season 1 on DVD in stores now.

Lets Build up some Hype

It's one thing for any new show on FOX to have a good amount of ratings for a pilot. For continued ratings that stay the same, and grow is what keeps a show on FOX. So far the commercials I've seen for their new show "Fringe" Has pulled me in. I want to know more about it. Those commercials are enough to pull you in, but it's up to the show to keep you coming back every week. Problem is great shows always fail on FOX, or barely skim by with a few episodes into a second season than get canned. Some how I doubt J.J. Abrams would put his name on a show on FOX if he didn't think it would work out. FOX will spend the money on a drama so this show will be good. So I think the more people I can get to watch it, that like it, the more that will come back, and keep the show going. Once I get more information on this show I will pass it along to all of you. The Great New/Returning Summer Shows of 2008

This list only contains shows I've been waiting for to come back. On June 3rd FX's "30 Days" returns for its 3rd season. I was very disappointed that the second season only had six episodes so lets hope for more this season. On June 5th a new show is coming to NBC called "Fear Itself". This show is about A horror/suspense anthology series. Very similar to "Masters of Horror". Fear Itself brings some of the genre's most respected writers, and directors to the small screen. On June 16th The 4th season of Showtime's "Weeds" comes back again. There will be a new guest start this season as well. Julie Bowen (Lost, Boston Legal, Ed) is set to play as a cradle-robbing single mom who "befriends" Nancy's nubile son, Silas. I can't wait for this show to start again. Sci-Fi's "Stargate Atlantis returns for it's 5th season on July 11th. I don't think this show ever gets old, and hopefully will continue to be on for many many many years to come. Also coming back this summer to the Sci-Fi channel is the third season of "Eureka". If you haven't seen this show go out, and buy the first two seasons on DVD it will keep you entertained. That's it for now, and look forward to a future post about New/Returning shows for Winter. Remember depending on where you live summer is short, and Winter is long. So their better be some great new shows to keep me entertained like FOX's "Fringe" (One on Fringe on a future post.)

It's sad to announce that Showtime's "Californication" Star Natascha McElhone's Husband has passed away. I wish the best for the family, and friends of Dr. Martin Hirigoyen Kelly. I've never told anyone, but I work for Alma Lasers, Inc, and I've talked to Dr.'s & Nurses so this affects me on another level. It's always sad to see a Doctor pass away. In my experience Doctors are great, Friendly, Considerate people that understand your issue. Doctors commit to a life of helping people with any problem you have. They are the best people to work with, and are the best personalities that anyone could hope for in a friend. USA's "In Plain Sight" Review

Within two minutes you sense the humor in this show, but the seriousness overplays that which is great. From first glance you see being a U.S Marshal ain't all it's crapped up to be. The drama that goes on makes for a great series. There is so much going on that you feel what is going on, but in this show it's a plus. Watching the pilot episode you want to know what's going on, and you want answers. It seems that there is a story in a story that you have to keep focus on to figure it out. The comedy is second to what the show is all about. The star of the show Mary McCormack (Private Parts, and The West Wing) has a dysfunctional family which makes for great humor. Mary's character "Mary Shannon" is such a treat to watch what she goes through. The rest of the cast makes this drama worth finding one hour out of your day each week to watch. You really understand how hard it is to protect another person's life. It is Mary's job to do that with all that she has going on in her life. In my opinion this show is worth tuning into. I suggest everyone please tune in on June 1st to USA 10/9C. Watch for more posts to come about this show.

24 Prequel News

As some of you may or may not know Fox announced on Thursday May 15th that they plan to air the "24 Prequel" on Sunday November 23rd. The prequel takes place just a few months before the events that happens in the new season. Jack Bouer will be in South Africa handling an International Crisis. Just imagine the damage he can do to terrorists in other parts of the world. I've been looking forward to this since the anouncement just after the writers strike. On that note the writers strike hit only eight episodes into the new season. If everything goes ok we should expect to see the new season air in Jan. 2009.

Congratulations to the "CW's" "Reaper". This on again off again series has struck a deal for a second season. After the writers strike which most of us thought would help actually hurt new shows we fell in love with. It's so hard now a days to grow, and fall in love with a show knowing if you get attached, you will be pissed when it's axed. Fox's "New Amsterdam" has met that fate. No shock to any fan of FOX's shows. I think it's in our blood to love what's offered, than to hate the outcome. I'm still hoping for CBS to Renew "Moonlight". Again we all can hope for something. In my opinion shows grow more after the first season. You can spend less money on advertising, and pray for rating's than when it fails blame the potential viewers. Who's at fault when no one knows whats out there. Money, money, money, as if that is the problem. I tell you what spend the money, and you will see results. How can networks ignore the fan base. it is beyond me. In this day, and age with all the hustle, and bussle people can't tune in. They have Tivo, DVR's, Illegal Downloading which gets more downloads than ratings. What is the mistake in the industry? How do shows fail when they are more popular on the Internet? How can shows fail when DVD sales excel expectations. Let me run a network for a day, and I'll correct everything.

The BIG Bad Writers Strike

I'm about to lay out how this writers strikes affects us, and how I see things going ahead. One its a shame if late night TV host's can't come up with original material. I could even write for them better stuff, Shoot pay me. My disappointment is that the fact your favorite late night TV host are supposed to be comedians, yet they can't come of with a sketch or two not even a joke. Besides that lets talk about whats going to happen to our favorite shows. Most fall premieres have already been shot, really meaning a limited number of episodes. For the fans of FOX's "24" they will not air at all the new season for a good reason which I can back up. 24 has always been different from any TV show for many reasons. FOX always, always offers a non stop season and usually a 2 night 4 hour premiere. They don't want a hiatus, and they know the fans don't which is actually fine with me. The ratings speak for them self. Of course we all know lost is going to end we all know about a death date. The only thing that sucks about it is that there will be a long break before we see new episodes, after the ones they have already shot. Lets take a second and really, REALLY thing about this whole strike. There is a Plus to all this trust me. The networks now have no choice, but to show shows that have been on the back burner. Of course there won't be many episodes of those shows filmed already, but if gives use hope. The only reason I bring this up is for two shows. One is FOX's "New Amsterdam", and two the Sarah Conner Chronicles." Most shows do not get a chance, and they are always a back up plan for a crappy show that fails like most. This strike is our hope believe it or not about shows we will care about. We all know "24" will come back, and maybe with better writers. We all know "Lost" will end so its no big deal. The great news is other shows get a chance a real chance at surviving the so called AX.

Ok first off CBS's "MoonLight" one of my fall Fav pics got an order for 4 more scripts to be made. Something is better than nothing now a days with the networks. Second another one of my Fall Favs got a full season which is ABC's " Pushing Daises". I'm not one to brag, but I can pick winners when I see them. NEXT, but not least what if I told you FOX's hit "Prison Break" might have a spin off. According to The Hollywood Reporter, FOX has ordered a script for the tentatively titled "Prison Break: Cherry Hill". he show's centerpiece would be Molly, an upper-middle-class wife whose family is torn apart by the mysterious Company, the vast government conspiracy that just can't stop messing with the lives of Michael (Wentworth Miller) and Lincoln (Dominic Purcell) on "Prison Break." Seeking revenge and perhaps reading about Michael and Linc in the papers, Molly finds her way down to the maximum security Panamanian prison Sona.That will bring the character, currently uncast, into the "Prison Break" universe at some point next spring. "Prison Break" is going on a planned hiatus from January through mid-April.In "Cherry Hill," Molly would find herself in a women's detention center facing a life sentence. Naturally, additional information about the Company and surviving members of her family would lead her to seek both freedom and revenge.While it's customary to use a cresting show as the launching point for a spinoff (like "Grey's Anatomy" giving birth to "Private Practice"), there's some precedent for a show in a ratings decline spawning successful offspring. Pushing Daisies (ABC Review)

Don't Let the title fool you into thinking this will be a dull show. By no means is it with all that goes on. The pilot episode, and the premise of the show is amazing. The lead actor Lee Pace who plays "Ned" does an amazing job considering the ability he has. Basically in a nut shell Ned has the ability to bring someone or anything back to life. One touch life, but if he touches again Death. The first ep is narrated which is different for a pilot episode, but sets the outline and story well. In a way its a drama, but in another way its a comedy, but it borders both sides, and doesn't push it to put the viewer off. The Basic idea of the show holds you in, and its fascinating how this show will progress. I'm hoping ABC will have a winner here. "Pushing Daisies" airs October the 3rd on ABC. Check your local listings for a time.

The Sarah Connor Chronicles FOX FALL REVIEW

One of the most anticipated shows of the fall season, or should I say the new year is the "The Sarah Connor Chronicles". This show will air on FOX on January the 1st of 2008. Off hand trying to guess the best for this show does happen. The actors play their role in this show like the movies only better. This show in my opinion is number three for FOX. This show is just third too two great shows on FOX which is number one "24", and number two " Prison Break". I couldn't believe the amount of action, and the suspense that keeps you wanting more than one hour of this show. Not many movies become a TV show, it's usually the other way around, but this one does justice to the movie industry. Knowing the history of FOX the new shows you fall in love with, and then just die as fast as they came PLEASE tune in. Watch, and give it at least 2 episodes before you give up, but I'm telling you you'll only need one....

Reaper (CW) Fall Review

Well the fall is almost here, and the best part of it besides Halloween is new shows. Starting September 25th "Reaper" will are on the CW. This show stars "Bret Harrison" Which is a great young actor for TV shows that will have him. Lately if you've been watching fox they have been playing 3-4 episodes every Sunday on fox of season two of "The Loop", staring Bret. I assume this pilot was made when fox was unsure of the future of "The Loop" So he was free of any contract like most actors on fox no pun intended. ANYWAYS this show is funny, and serious. Imagine waking up on your birthday and having everything go wrong for you, yet it gets worse your soul is sold to the Devil before you were even born. This show makes light in a way of being owned by the worst thing that could ever own anything. The cast is amazing, and the show leaves you wanting more. I hope the CW keeps this show because this is something a new network trying to change things to get ratings need to keep. In all this show will be one of my EJ's Fall Picks for this year, and as always i usually pick the best ones. So tune in and look out for this show to air on the CW on September the 25th.

From last season there was a Quote that all fans remembered that was one word, and one word only. It was "Nuts". Thanks to all the loyal fans that sent the good people at CBS PEANUTS. Belive it or not people sent tons of peanuts to CBS, which isn't the first time fans of a show stood up, and sent somthing worth while to support a show. The last time somthing was sent to a network that was overwheling was far back then the WB's "Roswell", Which fans sent Tabasco sauce in record numbers. I have to say I am sorry. Right as things were going great for my blog i quit because of work. I have waited too long to update this, and lost a lot of support. If i get enough emails i will start again and rebuild what i gave up, and won't stop till I'm done. Stargate Atlantis Update

Why is Canada so lucky? Most series take breaks mid season for some reason or another. "Stargate Atlantis" Went on hiatus after 10 episodes which is to be expected. But here is the question. Why does another region get to see USA made TV shows before us? Every year in mid season of "Stargate Atlantis" the SCI-FI channel takes a break. Within 2 months all the new episodes air in Canada first. The question is why is that. Why does another country get to see our shows before we do. Year after year I ponder that question. And year after year I have no answer. I have my ideas which is they love our shows more than theirs, and it drives ratings and money through the roof. Why though should we suffer for a wait on our shows while another country gets to see it first. The funny thing is I could buy our TV show's DVD's from amazon.UK. Months before we get it. Again why is that possible for them, and not us. It ticks me off yet what can I do besides post this blog.

Bad year for FOX

Fox in the past has made many bad choices. First was getting rid of "Family Guy" than when it did better on cable they brought it back, and in the deal came "American Dad". Fox also got rid of Futurama which low and behold has life after death and we will be all seeing new episodes but not on FOX. "Tru Calling", Point Pleasant", "Greg the Bunny". The list goes on and on and on. So yes I'm happy this new fall season is failing for Fox. They decided to keep "Justice", but get rid of "Vanished". They are not a smart network, and they are only concerned with ratings. So far this year for Fox, "Vanished" is gone, "Standoff" which is lucky to keep going which won't last another season. Of course "Happy Hour" is gone from Fox as well."Till Death" is hanging on which is the only show I think will last. I don't want to say this, but I will. After the Final season of "That 70s Show", FOX has nothing new for anyone. The only 2 things they have now are "24", and "American Idol". When will networks learn something. They have the power to keep anything regardless of ratings. Is FOX greedy you be the judge this year. Remember I already picked my fall picks for this season which would be big hits and they are. How come I can pick winners and FOX can't. I don't have money, yet Fox does and still fails.

It's good to see a show focusing on conditions with the brain that most people don't know about. You know every show about doctors need at least one arrogant one to make the show good. At first you try to see who's what in the show meaning who their personalities are. Not that any surgery is fun or making light of it is fun, but helping people in the end while doing your job your passion your love makes for good TV. As the show progresses you learn to love the cast and what makes them unique. What makes this show great is the conflict between the doctor's about what's right for the patients. It seems no one doctor is better than the other, and they all have their own ideas, and they have to prove themselves worthy by something medically successful with a patient. Sickness and death are apart of life, but how you deal with it makes you better in some way. After all the drama any show can have the point is to show you what's right, and for the people around you helping you to do what's right for you. This show keeps you watching to see what's going on because there is so much happening. What makes this show great is the fact that there is no right only what's best that should be done based upon the person who chooses an option. The conflict between these doctors make this show great, and something good to watch every week. So please tune in on Tuesday November the 14th on CBS.

Just when you think this years Halloween is over it's not. At 11:00 est on 10/31 tune in to the SCI-FI channel for a LIVE Ghost hunt with the BEST ghost hunting team. TAPS (The Atlantic Paranormal Society) will be doing a live show which I don't think has ever happened in a reality show. "Ghost hunters" has been on for 2 seasons, and is now in their third season. Plus if you goto scifi.com that night you can see live camera feeds, and send tips to them. This is an all night event which I hope will be on the season 3 DVD. They go in to an investigation to de-bunk a haunting, and if they find evidence they even try to disprove that. Greg The Bunny Best of the Film Parodies (Interview & Review)

Believe it or not "Greg the Bunny" Still exists, but on another network. Like I said before the new DVD comes out October the 24th which is loaded with extras and Easter eggs. I got the chance to review it, and I must say it is great. I couldn't stop laughing. I suggest buying this DVD calling everyone you know and making them watch this DVD set. Today I had the pleasure of interviewing Dan Milano, Sean Baker, and Spencer Chinoy. I asked my most important question for "Greg the Bunny" fans, which is what is the future of GTB on the IFC or any other form. They told me that a new season of the show will start November the 11th. So I asked them what will the new season be about. They said it will be more film parodies which I'm happy about. Getting back to the question what would they like to see happen with the show. They said they would like some film to explain and show each characters background. I also asked about guest stars for the new season, and there will be a few. I also had to ask do they hold any grudges against FOX, and they said no its the business. I had to tell them the show is much better on the IFC because they can express the puppets life more and who they really are without being censored. The interview was great, informing, and a treat for me as a fan. So again everyone go buy the DVD. You can also preorder the DVD from the IFC home page.

congratulations to "Jericho" for getting a FULL SEASON order. JERICHO, averaging 11.3 million viewers, 3.4/10 in adults 18-49 and 4.6/12 in adults 25-54, has boosted CBS's performance in the Wednesday, 8:00-9:00 PM time period by +48% in viewers, +36% in adults 18-49 and +48% in adults 25-54 compared to last year. I picked this show for a reason for my EJ's Picks of this year. The show is just getting started, and it just keeps getting better. SCI-FI's "Haunted Prison" Review

The Sci-Fi channel has so much going for them besides their TV shows. The movies they have are original and deserve attention. I have recently got the opportunity to review "Haunted Prison" which airs this Saturday. I have to say it should be in the movies, and people should have to pay for it. I don't want to give away anything, but I also want to tell you enough to tune in to watch it. The movie is not your normal movie you would watch. The plot keeps you going, and you struggle to find out why things happen. I'd like to talk about the end of it, but I won't until after it airs. The cast was amazing, and I was surprised to see Stacy Keach in this movie. My suggestion is grab your girlfriend or boyfriend tight this Saturday, and tune in to the SCI-Fi Channel this Saturday to watch this film because you won't be disappointed.

Lynette Porter Interview

Lynnette Porter co wrote the book "Unlocking the Meaning of Lost: An Unauthorized Guide". So it was a pleasure to interview her about one of my favorite shows. I had a bunch of questions that probably would never end, but I asked the ones I most wanted answers too. I asked her does anyone at ABC or anyone behind the show know of her book, and what to they think about it? She said "No clue", but she did try to get people copies of the book so I assume they have read it and appreciate the exposure. I also asked how long does she think the show can last. She thinks 5 years, but depending on ratings that can change. Which I also talked to her about was that the fact there's so much to the plot of the show to carry it out for a long time. You have the others, the Darma initiative, the monsters ,the others, and everyone's past and how they are all connected. I also asked if she plans on writing anymore books in the near future, and she said David Lavery, and her are planning on a second book for the show plus other things which she can't talk about which I understand. It was a great interview and a pleasure to talk to a "Lost" fan.

The Sci-Fi channel's "Eureka" has been picked up for a second season on the network. Last but not least NBC's "Heroes" has been picked up for a full season.

Well sometime soon I'll be moving to a new site that's not a blogspot address. The only reason I'm doing this is because of overwhelming response to people that work with networks. Spike TV tries again

Now that "Blade the series" is gone from Spike TV they are trying again. A new show called "A.M.P.E.D." Will take its place. "A.M.P.E.D.," A pilot from former "X-Files" executive producers Frank Spotnitz and Vince Gilligan about a team of cops assigned to deal with people who have genetic mutations that lead to destructive behavior. I have to give the network a break cause they are trying. "Blade" was good, but not great, but it had a chance. People need to know about the shows they want to do good. Granted ratings were great at first for "Blade", but it was a slow decrease in viewers. I think the network is going the right direction, but they have to stay committed. I'm grateful they at least gave "Blade" a full season, but they are going in the right direction. I hope this new show helps them and stays alive. I will post future info on this show when it becomes available.

I was sad to hear that the Spike network canceled "Blade: The series". Yet there is plans for the DVD already which I guess I can be happy about. All I have to say is if a show is going to end they should end the story and not leave you hanging for more that's just not right. At first "Blade" was doing well in ratings, but it was a slow decline for the network, but really what other shows do they have going for them that people know about and talk about. Other shows on all networks are about to be axed and like always I'll tell you as it happens so you know what not to get attached to.

What's Wrong again this year

Every year I make my picks of shows that will do well and most do get a full season. But with networks getting greedy with ratings they fail and struggle to find a replacement. Like I said before network shows do better on cable channels than normal network channels. The funny thing is advertising for them. Like take Fox for example. About 2 months ago they were showing commercials for the new season of "The O.C.". I haven't seen one commercial since. The network I think is afraid after a main characters death no one will tune in. That's why they cut the number of episodes to be made for this season. But than why stop the commercials than? Networks do weird things, and don't stand behind shows that can do better or are just average. I was happy to know CBS's "Jericho" did good in ratings, not perfect but decent. Ratings very so much, and ultimately it's the networks decision to stand behind something they can see grow. To tell you the truth I think every new show will fail on FOX this year. As some of you may know I didn't pick this year any shows from FOX. I just hope "Jericho" and "Heroes" does well.

Jericho Press Conference Summary

Well the press conference just ended which lasted just under an hour. Jon and Skeet were very informative about the show. I asked Jon what direction is the show going and where would he like to see it go, and I asked Skeet where would he like to see his character's role go. Basically he said they want the show to reflect the perspective of the towns people, and not so much the outside world. Cause this show focuses on the towns people and the way they have to deal with this new world. Skeet wants his role to grow and to progress with what happens through out the season. Both of them are very passionate about the show, and I wish them the best of luck. Smith CBS Review

This pilot starts out in a unique way compared to other pilots. The people you see you don't know their story which I like. It makes you think what did they do and what are they doing. You learn these people's names, but you still don't know their whole story. The way the show starts is what keeps you watching because you want to know what's going on. This group of thieves know how to plan, and how to be serious about it. They all have their own lives, but this is like their second career. They are all like the James Bonds of thievery.

As I said before in a previous post there are a bunch of new characters for the sixth season of FOX's "24". And yet another one has just been added. James Cromwell (Six Feet Under) will be playing Jack Bauer's dad. More and more details are coming out about this season of the show. The show will start 20 months after last years events, and Wayne Palmer (DB Woodside), the brother of former President David Palmer, is the new president of the United States. This show will out do itself this season I hope, it's already going where I want it to.

FOX Sunday returns

"The Simpsons" returns today for the start of their 18th season. Also 2 other shows that can follow in their footsteps return today "Family Guy", and "American Dad". Family Guy is into its 5th season already, and American Dad is in it's second season. No other cartoons get ratings like Fox does on Sundays. It's just amazing that Fox does well with cartoons in ratings compared to other channels without cartoons.

Paris Arrested

This morning Paris Hilton was pulled over for suspicion of DUI. Cause of her erratic driving police suspected intoxication and administered a Breathalyzer test, which read .08, the miniumum blood-alcohol level that is still considered illegal in California. If convicted of a misdemeanor DUI, Hilton could face up to three months' probation, have her license restricted for 90 days and ordered to enter an alcohol program.

Crocodile Hunter Dies at 44

Steve Irwin the crocodile hunter was killed by a stingray while filming off the Great Barrier Reef. The stingrays that were near him have poisonous barb on their tails. John Stainton a colleague said "He came on top of the stingray and the stingray's barb went up and into his chest and put a hole into his heart". Steve was a funny animal guy in my opinion that got people interested in nature. I don't think anyone will be saying "Crikey" for a long time. He is survived by his wife Terri and children Bob and Bindi.

Harry Lennix (Commander in chief), will be in the 6th season of FOX's "24". Kal Penn (Harold and Kumar) will also join the cast, but no word on the role he will play. Adoni Maropis (NYPD Blue) , Steven Schub (NYPD Blue) , will play bad guys. Regina King (Ray, Jerry Maguire) will play Wayne Palmer's sister this season. Peter MacNicol (Alley Mcbeal), will be playing a high-ranking government official, but that's all we know for now. I think the writers this year are going to surprise us all with what they can really do. With all these new cast members you just know there's going to be so much more plots all happening at once than previous seasons. Also congratulations to Kiefer Sutherland for winning his first ever Emmy after nine nominations for best lead actor in a drama. Also congratulations to everyone at the show for winning Outstanding Drama Series.
