Jericho (CBS) review
Awhile back I posted again EJ's Picks for the new season of TV shows. One that I mentioned was "Jericho" which will air on CBS. Pilots really set out the story and the characters so you can't really judge it until the second episode to see what direction the plot goes. After just watching it I have to say it is interesting. They leave you wondering what is next what will they do, and what can they do. Some parts are very emotional and are true to the times of what can happen. Its a great concept for a drama and that's why I picked it as one of EJ's picks. You can find the other shows I picked to make it big in past post. Its worth watching even though its on CBS. I have issues with CBS like canceling "Threshold" but at least "Ghost Whisperer" gets another season. Over all I say "Jericho" is worth watching and the show can go in many directions. I have to say I am glad CBS is coming up with better shows slowly but surely. "Jericho" will air on CBS September the 20th.

The show turned out pretty well I'd have to say. They've put enough in there that I have to keep watching, so I'd say they did their job. Some of it was small, like the comment about spraypainting the police car's logo black. Well done.

Give your head a shake. The problem with Jericho is ground zero should have been the town square. It has more plot cliches than a Scary Movie movie. A bus full of convicts crashes for no apparent reason and the prisoners are loose. Gee, never seen that one before. A school bus full of kids goes off the road again for no apparent reason. I could go on... but it would take too long.
I'd give it a couple of episodes before slamming it to hard. They haven't set the stage for how the shows going to pan out. If the worst we have to worry about 8 episodes later is a buss full of prisoners, then the writers missed their mark. I doubt this will happen.

I thought it was warm and engaging. Yes, the prisoner line was probably unnecessary, but the school bus made sense - it hit the spooked deer and skidded off the road, by the way. I'm eager to see how the people in this small town deal with the situation and one another. It's a reminder of forgotten "what ifs" and hope it makes it.
Someone want to explain to me why no one's cellphone works? Even if half the U.S. was destroyed, the satellites would still be intact.
Stupid. It reminds me of Z for Zachariah cept with more people. BORING
No cell phones because the satellites are down too. In the episode with the plane pilots talking on the tape, they say there is no air traffic control ANYWHERE....even in towns not hit by bombs.
